Fascination and enthusiasm for midwifery started during my work placement at the labor- and delivery-room in the Vinzenz-Pallotti Hospital in Bensberg near Cologne.

As a midwife it is important for me:

• To support woman and couples in the process during pregnancy, birth, childbed/postnatal
• Trust in the female body and it´s ability to give birth /to bear a child
• To help people finding their own individual way with responsibilty
• To enjoy the wonder of pregnancy, birth and a new human being with the parents

I spent 3 mounths as a volunteer at the obstetric- and gynecologist- praxis of Dr. D. Asfhar in Washington D.C. (USA) and have visited midwives in different areas in the USA.
